I completed my second full practice with Shockwave Thursday night. I felt I am getting better timing with my holder and snapper and hit a few good kickoffs. In this league if you can pinpoint your kickoffs, it will help with coverages. There are not nets as there are in AFL and AF2. We have a final walk-thru Friday night and then its game time. My field goals were good as we hit only extra points, but they felt solid. I spent most the practice doing balance drills, a dynamic flxiblity program and on-side kicks. I wanted to show the team I was working as well.
The team is excited as they have been practicing for a three weeks now and are ready to hit someone else. We play the LA Lynx on Saturday and the team management is ready to show San Diego what Arena football is about. I have had over 30 ticket requests from family, friends and kickers that I work with. They are ready to see me kick!
It will be a busy weekend with the San Diego Kicking Compeition Saturday morning and quick stop over at the Martin Bayless Foundation and then to the game. I also have kicking lessons on Sunday! Not to mention finishing two buisness plans for graduate school. The life of a kicking coach….
I will let you know about the walk-thru friday night.

Dear Kickers & Punters:
I wanted to give everyone an update on the latest news. I just signed a contract to play for the San Diego Shockwave this past Tuesday. Yes! You heard it right— I have just signed my first Arena Football contract with the San Diego Shockwave. They play in the NIFL football league and this will be their first season in
San Diego. We play our first game this Saturday night at COX Arena on the campus of SDSU at 7pm. I will be handling the field goals and kickoff duties. If you want more info on the team you can click on www.sandiegoshockwave.com or visit their myspace account myspace.com/sdshockwave. I am looking forward to being back on the football field after more than 5 years!! I will also be setting up a web blog to keep everyone updated on the latest news.
If you want to attend the game, please email me and I have some 2 for 1 ticket that will help get you in! They only allow us 2 complementary tickets; I have over 30 people coming! Also, do not forget The San Diego Kicking Competition this weekend on Saturday from 8-10am at Rancho Bernardo HS, lets find out who the best kickers are in
San Diego!!
I have enclosed the latest schedule for the Shockwave.
See you Saturday!
