Bryan Shields, One on One lessons

TKS over the last month has worked with Bryan Shields, kicker from SDSU.

Bryan a former “wedge style” kicker, has a ton fundamentals to re-learn. We have started with the basics, proper foot position, plant foot spacing, upper body control, and consistent steps to the ball. Bryan has a strong NFL type leg, and gets great height on the ball.

Bryan was enthuasitic over the first couple of sessions. But I keep telling him that this will be a process and has a ton of work. Bryan has seen immediate results and said he all ready feels better. We worked mostly on field goals which will transfer over to his kickoffs.  We kick about 40-50 balls per session stressing quality.

I keep telling him that he needs to kick on his own to develop his swing more consistently.  He should see more results over the months to come.
