This weeks (and the last one of the year) TKS Kicker of the Week goes to Stanley Schurson, from Mesa Community College (originally CIF Kicker of the Year in 2007 from Ramona HS). Stanley found out today he was selected as a All-Conference Kicker for the Mountain Division and was selected as the All-State Kicker in California. Stan connected on 6 of 8 field goals.  Stan kicked a 52-yard FG last week to help Mesa CC clinch a division title.

Notables:

• Bobby Wenzig,(almost won his third KOW honor) from Westview HS, tied Jason Myers with a 50 yard FG , for longest in San Diego this year, and added another 39 yard boot. Bobby also hit one kickoff 82 yards! Bobby now has 11 field goals on the season.
• Levi Jacob, West Hills HS, kicked a 47 yard FG and had 4 PAT’S
• Jon Wells got his first extra point at his new high school, Cathedral Catholic HS
• McCall Penn, La Jolla HS, kicked his first 5 extra points.
• Tanner Hansen, Mira Mesa HS, kicked field goals of 37 and and 29 yards in a win over Lincoln.
• Jordan Lindsey, punter Mesa CC, earned 2nd team All-Conference in the Mountain Division. 

December, 13th 2008 – TKS Kicking College Combine, Mira Mesa HS 8-12pm Finish your highlight DVD by getting each kicked filmed by Sports TV. We will be inviting college coaches (DII, DIII, JUCO & NAIA) All top level kickers performances will be sent to schools via email, fax or recommendations. DI schools can not attend and they will count heavily on OUR recommendation. Over the last couple of years TKS has shown that we produce high level kickers, we do not add kids to our list because they attended one camp. Our relationships include coaches in the PAC-10, Big East, Ivy League, Patriot League and numerous other speak for themselves. We also attend the AFCA convention in January making numerous referrals to hundreds of college coaches.   Last year we sent three kickers from San Diego county alone to PAC-10 rosters. Come join the best prep-kicking academy in the country.

Attention!! Save the Date!  TKS Kicking Camp/Combine Saturday, December 13th, 2008. Location: TBA 8-12pm.  This can also be used to get your last update for your highlight DVD. Sports TV will be there filming the entire event.

• TKS Week #10 Kicker of the Week goes to Brock Miller, Santa Fe Christian.  Brock may have the best game of the year! 6 PATS – 3 FGS (30,27, and 45)-1 punt (63 yards)

Big week for TKS kickers. For Week #9 – TKS Kicker of the week goes to Davey Last of Valley Center HS, (San Diego, CA). The sophomore kicker was perfect on field goal attempts of 32, 42 and 25 yards, the latter coming with 58 seconds to play as the Jaguars upset Ramona 16-13 in a Valley League game. Video

Davey is currently 4th in San Diego Kick Scoring with 56 points. His average is 7.0 points per game with 8 field goals.

Honorable Mention:

• Jason Myers, Mater Dei HS, hits a 32 yard Game-Winning FG in a win over Bonita Vista. Jason also kicked 5 touchbacks, two kicks registered at 4.3 hang time and 4.2 hang time. Jason is 89% on touchbacks this season.
• Bobby Wenzig, Westview HS, hits a 49 yard FG (sets new PR and San Diego County longest of the season). Video. Bobby is now 45/54 on Touchbacks – 83% for the season
• Brock Miller, Santa Fe Christian HS, kicked-3 pats, 1 FG (27), 6 punts (274 yards) 31,38, 44,44,57, 60 for a 50 yard average. Brock has an overall punting average of 45.7 which ranks him second in San Diego County
