• Junior, Tyler Strickland from Granite Hills, HS won the FG competition this past Sunday with a 52-yard FG. Junior, Mike Gruber who earned, All-East County from Christian HS, kicked a 51-yard field goal, but also won the punting competition with a 4.5 hang time punt.

• TKS will be attendance at this years Holiday Bowl and will attending practices for the University of Oregon. (Also, John Matich, will be running the Holiday Bowl 5K)
  

• Currently coaches have a dead period for recruiting until Jan. 4th, 2008. If you are not getting contacted over the next couple of weeks its because coaches are not allowed!!

COMMITMENT!!!

Ethan Swerdlow, La Jolla High School punter, received confirmation from Lafayette University for his acceptance into the school.  Ethan originally committed leopards in June, but the day before Thanksgiving Ethan received the letter. Lafayette was Ethan’s’ first college choice as he plans to major in Engineering.  

On a personal note – Ethan has come a long way and worked real hard to achieve this offer and play in the Patriot League. I remember Ethan as a sophomore working on his technique and more importantly working hard in the classroom. Ethan received a 4.5 GPA on his last progress report, he has an overall 4.1 GPA. Ethan would never tell you this as he has shown incredible character thought the years. Its been a real honor to work with him and his family. Ethan’s father, Neal (a presenter at the TKS Recruiting Night) did a wonderful job streamlining the recruiting process and had his hand in their entire process. Credit goes to the Ethan and his family!
